Forget faceless voice assistants that start from scratch every time. The desktop AI companion Everthine A1 promises to be a true conversationalist, capable of recognizing you and developing its personality over time. Its European debut is scheduled for IFA 2026, but it's already clear that this is not just another gadget. The heart of the A1 is an 8-inch curved OLED screen, on which a 3D character comes to life. Importantly, it reacts to facial expressions and touch, creating a sense of presence and depth. This is no longer a static image, but an attempt to give a digital being character. But the main feature is its memory. Everthine A1 remembers the user, recognizes familiar faces, and even pets. Its personality is not reset after each session but gradually develops, making interaction more natural and personal. This breaks the usual perception of AI as a soulless tool that needs to be reconfigured every time. To maintain a constant presence in the room, the device is equipped with dedicated hardware: an array of six microphones, front and rear cameras, and a 10-watt speaker. This is not just an application, but a physical object that becomes part of the home space. Special attention is paid to privacy. Physical switches for the camera and microphone allow the user to manually disable the sensors at any time. Furthermore, conversations remain encrypted and, importantly, are not used for training AI models. The manufacturer states that user data remains confidential. Everthine A1 will first appear as software, and then, later this year, the device itself will be released. This is a step towards creating AI companions that don't just follow commands but become part of our lives, remembering us and adapting to our needs.
